Croatia have dropped out of the FIFA Top 10 in the latest world rankings released today following the October World Cup qualification window.
Zlatko Dalić’s side dropped from 9th to 11th place after a 0-0 draw away to the Czech Republic in Prague and a 3-0 victory over Gibraltar in Varaždin.
The results were not enough to keep Croatia among the world’s top ten, with Germany climbing two places to overtake them also for the final top-seed position for next year’s World Cup group stage draw.
Croatia are therefore currently not among the top seeds for the 2026 World Cup draw. However, there is still an opportunity to improve before the next FIFA ranking update, scheduled for 30 November 2025.
Dalić’s men will round off their qualification campaign with matches against the Faroe Islands and Montenegro, both of which offer a chance to regain valuable ranking points.
At the top of the standings, Spain remain in first place, while Argentina have leapfrogged France into second.
