JERUSALEM (VINnews)-Israel Defense Forces confirmed Friday that it carried out a drone strike earlier in the day in southern Lebanon, killing a Hezbollah operative.

According to Tthe IDF, the target was struck while driving in the town of Khirbet Selm and was involved in restoring Hezbollah’s military capabilities in the area.
In a separate incident, the IDF said that reservists from the Alon Brigade conducted a ground operation late Thursday in the southern Lebanon town of Yaroun, where they demolished a building used by Hezbollah.
The military said the structure posed a threat to Israeli troops operating in the area.
The operations come amid continued cross- border tensions between Israel and Hezbollah, as skirmishes persist along the northern frontier.
