  1. They are douches, that’s why.

This one is actually against SBB rules and you could tell them to put down their feet, or call a security personnel.

Alternatively, putting the feet up in socks is okay by SBB rules, you can ask them to remove the shoes.

  2. Aw shit, here we go again.

Next time it’s my turn to ask on reddit rather than saying something.

  3. why not?
Do you feel better about yourself, when you post this kind of things?

  4. I think it’s more comfortable for them. Can’t think of another reason.

  5. They don’t/aren’t old enough to understand they have to pay more than the ticket. And for everybody, if you think it’s unacceptable sit in diagonal of them and put you feet on the seat too, they will stop since it’s a dick move.

  6. – Because it’s more comfortable.
    – Because Swiss train seating configuration with these terrible 4 seats plainly suck. One way it sucks, is how it leads people to sit in such a way.

I’m in no way whatsoever defending this. Just giving explanations.

  7. honestly if you see someone on a train with their foot on an empty seat and get annoyed… you probably have bigger problems going on

  8. Because it removes tension from the leg muscles and the spine.

  9. Do you really want an answer to your question? I guess not. But here it is: it’s more comfortable. That’s why. And that is the only reason.

    Happy now?

  10. Because some people are pigs. In my office 50% of the men cannot even wash their hands after going to the toilet.

  11. When you live in a country with no problems this is how you post

  12. So they can remove their shoes, socks and then trim their toe nails… 🤮

  13. because they are uneducated, show some swiss fashion education.

  14. you can go put a shoe on their bum and ask if they liked it

    /s, chill, or don’t

  15. Poor parenting is the cause and the effect is a lack of manners.

  16. They want people to sit on their legs and are too shy to ask. /j

  17. The other day I took the train to go hiking and there was a trail of mud from the entrance to the seats. That I could maybe understand (idk if they’re late for the train, maybe the mud didn’t really fall out of the shoes when walking etc).

But then at the seat I see the seats also covered in dry mud. Like bro what the hell how stupid can you be. Muddy shoes on the seats eugh.

This is why public transport has a bad reputation. Idiots like them.

    I hate people, so disrespectful.

  18. I would say “hey, that is yucky. you walk with your shoes over dog pees and poops and we sit there” with a smile.

  19. lol, it reminds me about an embarrassing situation: I entered a cart almost packed, I found a seat where only the opposite side was occupied by some old lady but she kept the bag on the floor blocking the entire ‘cubicle’ whilst sitting at the window. I just stopped by and asked if I can help and moved the bag onto the seat next to the lady. She immediately looked at me worried and tried to remediate it by standing up and trying to put the bag elsewhere, saying “das ist schmutzig”. I’ve never been more embarrassed than at time.

  20. In Switzerland, everyone complains but nobody says anything (and I count myself in there too). That’s mainly why we get fucked all the time.

  21. Because they don’t have Swiss education. That’s it.
