She was called up by her country this summer, for the first time since 2023, as they faced two crucial UEFA Women’s Nations League C games.
And draws against North Macedonia and Kosovo, having beaten both sides previously in the reverse fixtures, were enough to secure Latvia promotion.
But next year’s foray into Group B territory can wait for Latvia and Stube.
For now, their focus is on the Women’s Baltic Cup, which will take place at the end of this month.
It is contested annually between Latvia, Lithuania, the Faroe Islands and Estonia, with the latter by far the most successful.
Estonia have won the competition 12 times, with it only having had 23 editions to date.
Latvia lifted the title three years in a row between 2017 and 2019, but they have failed to do so since.
They and Lithuania have won the cup five times apiece, with the Faroe Islands’ sole success coming in 2016.
Latvia will have their work cut out, as they take on holders Estonia in the semi-finals next Friday.
Their game will be followed by the last-four clash between the Faroe Islands and Lithuania.
The winners will go through to final a few days later, while the losers will contest a third-placed play-off.
Before the Baltic Cup, Stube is set to lead the Bantams into their North East Regional Women’s Football League Premier Division game against Spennymoor Town Ladies at Horsfall tomorrow.
