They just forgot to research how PESEL is structured.

  1. They probably knew, but didn’t want to make it like the real one so it won’t be someone’s real PESEL

  2. You know that often for movies and shows they make up IDs that aren’t working to avoid people trying to find person who has the same numbers?

  3. Honestly, I think if they went to the extent of this much research they probably knew and made the decision to create a fake one so as to not place some random person’s actual social security/PESEL number on there.

Let’s appreciate the lengths they went to get this down right.

Remember the Jason Borne movies? Perhaps most members of this Reddit group don’t know how to read Russian, but this… this is….well *sighs*…this is next level sh!t..

The producers of the new Splinter Cell series did the EXACT OPPOSITE, i.e. a good freaking job!

  4. I’ve checked first episode. Too short and I’m not impressed.

  5. They lost the opportunity for his name to be Grzegorz Brzęszczykiewicz

  6. I don’t get it. What’s wrong with PESEL? I think we can’t see last numbers, so we can’t verify the control sum. The beginning looks fine to me. Boleslaw was born on the 2nd of January 81. Am I missing sth?

  7. But this number is correct, only for people born after 2000 it changes the structure, by adding 20 to the month

  8. Mirosław Baka w roli Sama Fishera był najlepszy i lepszy od oryginału. Nie zapraszam do dyskusji, bo nie ma o czym.

  9. They did that on purpose so they wouldn’t use someone’s PESEL on purpose.

  10. Interestingly, if you look up pesel in google images youll see that 81010200xxx is a “default” one for some reason that is shown on all examples
