The former commander of the U.S. Army in Europe has said if Russia were to attack NATO territory its strategic Kaliningrad exclave would be “eliminated in the first hours.”

  6. I mean, it would be stupid if they didn’t instantly take it over. I’d assume it would be a shared zone between Lithuania & Poland, but in the meantime, it would become a NATO port, likely the Americans or France, Germany or the UK would develop a new military base there so they could resupply the Baltic states. They would likely launch missile attacks from there into Belarus unless Belarus changed allegiance against Russia.

  13. Königsberg used to be one of the most beautiful cities of Germany. Sadly it was completely destroyed in the second world war. A few buildings were restored like the cathedral but most was just gone. Dresden also got completely destroyed but in the last 30 years has been completely reconstructing its historical city center to look like how it did before. I do hope that in the future, regardless of who is in charge there, they do a reconstruction effort there similar to Dresden.
