It seems that America wants to test its ability to change regimes, and Venezuela is currently the most suitable laboratory animal. It is geographically close to the US, lacks an Iran like military industry/tradition, and is facing economic collapse. If, however, the USA can’t get rid of Maduro this time, it suggests that there are serious issues with American hegemony.
