1. So, genuine question. Why is this still allowed by the international community? Legitimately undermining the democracy of neighbours for decades and pulling coups to destabilise just for their own corrupt economic gains.

   Btw, the newly minted Nobel ‘Peace’ Prize winner [Maria Corina Machado](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mar%C3%ADa_Corina_Machado#Political_views) has previously endorsed US military action on her country.

4. Somehow, the meaning of the word ‘covert’ seems to have missed Trump.

   By definition, a covert operation is one that is not known to the public or openly acknowledged. But by confirming these operations, Trump is making them known, which means that technically, they’re no longer covert.

   Of course, with the Maduro regime knowing that CIA operations are occurring in Venezuela, it makes it all that much easier to identify and stop them. So Trump has just thrown a spanner in the works of the very machine that he’s running.
