It’s no mockery , if it is both the truth and a relevant point.
Not really, the point is that they are the poorest because they are the most corrupt..
That’s strangely aggressive for a foreign minister to say. When the EU is giving out to China for their concentration camps or the US for their whole general situation we still express it like it’s mild concern. How come it’s so much more direct here?
Edit: I think people are reading this and thinking I’m against Sikorski; I’m just asking a question
There’s no mockery. Because of Orban they are corrupt and poor. That’s it.
Why are European leaders still using X, a platform owned by a declared Nazi?
It needs to be said, said more and said all the time that the alt-right, with corruption, racism and freedom restraining policies, also brings poverty.
Maybe at some point the regular sympathizer that’s not overly convinced will realize that:
– Hungary is poor because of populism
– Brexit made the UK standard of living drop.
– Argentinian’s mad trumpist has so far had his sister flagged for corruption, risen poverty (despite the recent “drop”, it’s still higher than before he came to power), and, while claiming for budget cuts and bitching about how the left only works with subsides, is about to get 20 billions from big bro Trump to save face.
Alt right populists are terrible at taking care of countries, and traitors.
Hungary is pulling all of us down. If Orban somehow stays in power, then Hungary should be kicked out of EU and NATO

Sikorski hitting Orban like a punching bag. Like he did when Orban talked about the Russian drones in Poland.
I have maternal hungarian roots ( traveled to Lithuania with Bekesh and Stepan Bathar army ) and always been proud because of that.
Nowadays i am so ashamed and started to hate Hungary pretty much.
No mockery, just the truth.

Read between the lines and you’ll realize this isn’t mocking Hungary just for being poor.
In your face Bulgaria! 😂
Hungary under Orban is nothing more than a trojan horse for Russian aggression.
Is the mockery in a different image you forgot to upload?
unfortunately he is right, we, Romanians, have lower prices and higher salaries, many Hungarians, who historically were better off than us, now go through customs to go shopping or to work, Orban has brought them ruin 🥲
Orban is how a fart will look in human form.
Bulgaria is the poorest.
Romania is the most corrupt country in EU by far
Corruption and poverty come together
This is not mockery, just a simple fact.
If the Budapest summit would achieve somthing tough, Orbán could win again. And Sikorski has become obsessed with Hungary. I respect his foreign policy knowledge but maybe he should care about the PiS+Konfa duo that are likely going to win next elections there
It’s not a shame for a country to be poor, per se. For a country with so much potential as Hungary, however, it is.
Romania just had the election canceled. There’s no official reason even now. So this is how the most corrupt country in EU looks like.
Sorry guys, not the poorest. Yet.
If it’s any consolation, the poorest is also very corrupt too.
Is he really mocking? People struggling financially is a common explanation why a sitting government gets booted out.
He’s mocking them because they are hosting violent warmongering dictators. Not because they’re poor.
To be very fair, Hungary deserves a crap ton of mockery. They’re basically in NATO just to cause problems and help Russia. And they’re led by a corrupt dictator.
Mock away, I say.
Slovakia, Greece, Latvia and Bulgaria all have lower GDP per Capita.
România is the most poorest and corrupt country in EU. Don’t dare to take this away from us.
Putin and Trump meeting in Budapest serves two main purposes both agree on.
Weakening the EU as a political institution showing they have no influence on what their members do and secondly try to build momentum for Viktor Orban who is an anchor for both Trump and Putin in Europe whereas everywhere else in Europe they are not welcome.
Sikorski would be good to have in Brussels some day.
I don’t think that is mockery. Considering what this is a response to, it’s a valid point about Orban’s leadership.
There is no reason whatsoever why Hungary should be so poor. It was way richer than Poland right after communism. Way way richer. Every failure right now stems from Orban’s leadership and nothing else.

I thought Bulgaria was still the poorest?

Is this the same ‘Thankyou for blowing up the Nordstream pipeline Mr. President’ deleted tweet Sikorski? I think it is. He sure has an interesting bio https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rados%C5%82aw_Sikorski
And Carl Bildt is former PM of Sweden.
Was it real?
