The Governor of the Central Bank of Libya, Naji Mohammed Issa, participated on Friday in the 2025 Annual Meetings of the World Bank Group and the International Monetary Fund, held in the U.S. capital, Washington, with the participation of central bank governors and finance ministers from various countries around the world.
Issa also participated in the fifty-second meeting of the International Monetary and Financial Committee (IMFC), which addressed the importance of strengthening the independence of central banks in light of global economic developments, and ensuring their ability to achieve price stability and credible monetary policies, free from political and financial pressures.
During the meeting, the Committee affirmed the continuation of international cooperation to adopt balanced economic policies that enhance confidence and support global economic and financial stability.
