Ever since LSU baseball took home its eighth national championship in program history in June, it’s been waiting to visit the White House and be honored by President Donald Trump.

That date has finally come. The Tigers will go to the White House on Oct. 20 — and, as a special treat, they’ll be joined by fellow national champions LSU Shreveport, who had an undefeated 59-0 record en route to a NAIA championship.

LSU’s trips to the White House are usually memorable; when the football team visited in 2020 after a Joe Burrow, JaMarr Chase and Justin Jefferson-led squad won the College Football Playoff, it spawned several viral dance videos.

According to LSU baseball, the team will arrive in Washington, D.C. on Sunday and tour the U.S. Capitol on Monday shortly before the ceremony.
