Despite ceasefire, Gaza faces severe hunger and aid coordination issues • FRANCE 24 English
Even as Gazins celebrated news of a ceasefire, as of yet, nothing has materially changed in Gaza. The enclave lies in ruins. A vast majority of Gazins are displaced and tens of thousands are going hungry. That includes about 55,000 children under the age of six who are thought to be severely malnourished. According to a new study published Wednesday in the Lancet, the UN Secretary General says international aid groups are just waiting for the green light. We and our partners are prepared to move now. We have the expertise, the distribution networks, the community relationships in place to act. Under the terms of the deal’s first phase, Palestinian sources say a minimum of 400 trucks will enter each day for the first 5 days of the ceasefire. then that number will increase. But so far, it’s unclear who will participate in aid deliveries and who will coordinate them. Israel has banned the UN Agency for Palestinian Refugees from operating in Gaza, accusing it of being complicit with Hamas. And back in May, the controversial Gaza Humanitarian Foundation, backed by Israel and the US, was entrusted with distributing the bulk of international aid. According to the UN, just over two months after the start of the new system, nearly 1,400 Palestinians were killed while trying to access aid, including more than 850 near GHF sites. Aid groups say the scale of the humanitarian crisis is hard to fathom. We’re witnessing famine, total devastation. So, from a humanitarian point of view, what we need is an immediate entry of humanitarian aid. Meanwhile, the World Health Organization, also a UN agency, said it was prepared to scale up its work in order to meet the dire health needs of patients across Gaza and also to support the rebuilding of Gaza’s health care system, which has been destroyed by two years of war.
Despite celebrations over a ceasefire, Gaza remains devastated, with most residents displaced and tens of thousands, including 55,000 malnourished children, facing severe hunger. The UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres says aid groups are ready to deliver food, water, and medical supplies, but uncertainty surrounds who will coordinate the aid. Israel has banned the UN refugee agency from Gaza, while aid distribution through the controversial Gaza Humanitarian Foundation has seen deadly incidents. Aid organizations warn that the current 400-truck daily aid quota is insufficient, as the humanitarian and health crises deepen.

In Germany we also had the worst hunger crisis in the winter 1947/48, two years after the war, not during the war. I hope Gaza can have peace now. Then it will get better eventually.
UN is doing nothing only bias against Isreal abolish this incompetent organization now..
