  1. Interesting and not surprising when you’re going after everyone

  2. We are the greatest; amount of people incarcerated per capita, number of people who believe in angels, and defense spending….

    Our passport flex is over.

  3. Finns beat Swedes for once in something. 🥳 (I wonder what the tie-breaker country there was)

  4. I mean, yeah. Turning into a banana republic dictatorship is probably going to make it harder to travel.

  5. It’s all part of Making America Great Again so it must be ok!

Pretty much. The difference between the top and the US ranking is a mere 13 places providing privileged easier access. It matters and also largely doesn’t at the same time.

Even Canada has all of 3 more destinations open to it from the US and everybody loves them on reddit.

  7. Wow I mean if it said top 5, I could understand but top 10 is pretty damning for a country of the caliber of the u.s

  8. Having just received my doctorate from the University of Reddit, i finally see that the US is an authoritarian hellscape where 99% of the population are starving and homeless, and end up murdered by police, while the 1% scooge mcduck dive into piles of money.

I also now understand that every other country has better quality of life than the US. So please, if you are considering coming here understand that we are the worst country on earth.

Why people keep immigrating here is an enigma even to my clearly enormous intelligence. Hopefully the truth will prevail!

  9. For those unaware, the US wasn’t really in the Top 10 by any objective measure. There are many, many countries that are tied for #2 or #3 or #5, for example, but some ratings companies count them as one. The article even calls this out by saying that 36 countries have stronger passports than the US. I think the highest I’ve ever seen the US was tied for 28, meaning that 27 countries had stronger passports.

It’s just odd to me to say the US *was* in the “Top 10” when 25+ countries had stronger passports all along.
