Those large transformers are basically irreplaceable.
A shame I have no idea what this means. How many of these substations would a typical city have?
Big ticket items like this also drain Russia’s liquid assets of their NWF. Other countries demand currency that is not Roubles for international trade.

In one of the forums i’ve read about guy wondering why Ukraine doesnt black out Moscow, he wrote a lengthy post with details how trivial it would be to black out Moscow doe good, as there are only few nodes you need to take out. I think Ukraine is well aware of this ability and Moscow is too, and this is a gentle reminder to fuck off from energy infra in Ukraine. If russians dont back off expect some dark winter in Moscow
