Week 7 NFL betting preview, picks

Kansas City Chiefs (-11.5) vs. Las Vegas Raiders | 1 p.m. ET | Sunday, Oct. 19

Since a slow start to the season, Kansas City has scored 37, 28, and 30 points in their last three games. The Chiefs also welcome back wide receiver Rashee Rice, who was injured early in the 2024 season and was suspended for the first six games in 2025 for an off-the-field issue. His presence should make a successful offense that much more dynamic. On the other side, though Las Vegas won their second game of the season last week, they’ll likely still be without star tight end Brock Bowers for another week. The SportsLine model gives Kansas City a well over 50% chance to cover the 11.5-point spread.

Denver Broncos (-7) vs. New York Giants | 4:05 p.m. ET | Sunday, Oct. 19

New York’s rookie backfield of quarterback Jaxson Dart and running back Cam Skattebo could not have looked more impressive in the team’s thorough defeat of the defending Super Bowl champions, Philadelphia, last Thursday night. But now they face one of the best defenses in the league on the road this week. Denver is allowing only 254.2 yards and 15.8 points per game, both second best in the league. On their home field, the SportsLine model is giving them nearly a 60% chance to cover the touchdown spread.

Washington Commanders vs. Dallas Cowboys: Over 54.5 | 4:25 p.m. ET | Sunday, Oct. 19

Fireworks are projected in this NFC East matchup as the model believes 63 total points will be scored. Dallas is third in points per game scored (29.7) and Washington is seventh (26.3 PPG). The Cowboys are also allowing more than 30 PPG, so Washington should have no trouble moving the ball up and down the field against the Dallas defense. With an over/under of 55 points, this is the highest total on the NFL odds board yet this season.
