  1. What’s also missing from the article is that the interviewer also asked: “When will Reform have a leader in Wales?” and the Reform UK’s representative said: “Whenever Nigel Farage decides”.

  2. That was absolutely pathetic. Couldn’t say what his policies or his platform were at all, when pressed further on what his personal politics were or what he believed in, he made a vague comment about “waste” in government spending, and then when pressed on what he was talking about then just admits he hasnt really looked into it yet. This is a person standing to be a politician in an election in a week, and he can’t even tell you what he stands for or believes in.

  3. it’s giving temu tory who took an IQ test that came back as 0.

  4. Freedom from, is one thing. Freedom to, is what will actually bring change. Reform don’t want you to know what they stand for, because they know that if they stir up enough anger people will become desperate and desperate people will justify voting for anyone based on wanting change.

We leave ourselves very vulnerable when we decide to vote against something. Always better to vote for something.

The status quo has forever been a source of dissatisfaction. Without a clear idea of what’s next, a power vacuum is formed and that is usually filled from outside and even more disastrous.

  5. Yes it’s funny / embarrassing / pathetic / take your pick. But it doesn’t matter. He’s right. They’re going to win. We’ve had what feels like a decade of them / UKIP / whatever face they’re wearing being mocked by people who can see through it but nothing’s been learnt!

That’s what happened during the brexit debate. They won. Nothing has changed. The people on the panel sitting there smirking and shaking their heads… that doesn’t work! Stop acting so pious and work out how to get through to people who listen to it and believe them, to see through it.

Because until this attitude of ‘we’re smarter than you and what you say and do is stupid’ ends; people get out of their bubble; and there’s actual resonance with people who believe them, this will not stop.

Next thing you know they’ll win a majority in the Senedd (already feels inevitable). Then they’ll abolish it and there’ll be a referendum for wales to no longer be a country and just be a part of England and they’ll win that as well.

  6. To be fair, Labour, Plaid, Lib Dems and the Tories haven’t got much to brag about. The quality of politicians in the Welsh Parliament is, by and large, absolutely dreadful.
