Canadian striker Adam Rockwood has found a new club. The 30-year-old center, who was one of the key players in attack at HC Innsbruck in the 2023/24 season, will now play for HC Presov in the Slovakian Extraliga.
Rockwood first moved to Europe in 2020 and has since played for several clubs: MODO Hockey (Sweden), Ilves Tampere (Finland), HK Nitra (Slovakia) and AIK Stockholm before landing in Innsbruck. The creative playmaker quickly became the top assist provider for the Tyroleans – in 47 appearances he collected 4 goals and 34 assists, which placed him fifth within the team in the scorers ranking.
After his season in the ICEHL, Rockwood moved on to HK Dukla Michalovce, where he once again demonstrated his offensive qualities. In 33 games, the left-handed shooter recorded 7 goals and 32 assists. He remained loyal to the Slovakian league in the current season: first at Spisska Nova Ves, where he played in ten games, before moving to HC Presov. The club from Presov responded to the recent separation from ex-ICEHL player Dante Hannoun by signing Rockwood.
