“The sash”, “No more Roman catholics”, “can you eat a chicken supper”, “No pope in Rome”
A flowery and flamboyant character, worthy of Broadway
Let them eat jaffa cakes
Featuring Belle Fast
At a guess, this is probably about William of Orange I, rather than III.
He freed the Dutch from Spanish rule, he wasn’t as fervently anti-Catholic as his grandson, although religious freedom was part of it. The Dutch celebrate him on Kings Day on April 27, where they have much Orange.
The Dutch William of Orange is William I, seen as the founder of the modern Netherlands. The one here is William III and the Dutch domt really give a fuck about him, if they know about him at all
From what I understand, he would have enjoyed musical theatre
A cover version of Brandy and Monica’s hit: “The Boyne is Mine”
Aye, but did ya go?
Boek nu = Book nai
Plot twist, it’s in Belfast and a orangey wrote the poster
Who got cast as his twink?
“his life, his struggle, our story”. Love that this sounds like one of those shitty tv ads for the Sunday times.
Don’t know why the Dutch are trying to claim a proud born and bred ulster prod as one of theirs

Look they even wrote it in Ulster Scots!
The sash better be part of that musical score

Im sure a headliner would be the Billy Boys song.
“boek nu”
and not in the Dutch sense of “book now”
Sound advice
