  1. Anne is as always understanding the assignment and showing up for it.

Andrew is sad that he is no longer the baby.

Charles is worryingly looking to his mother.

No one is looking to Edward.

A picture can really speak louder than words.

(fun silly interpretation of the photo, don’t take it too seriously).

  2. Interesting fact, this was the first birth for Lizzie that she wasn’t put into a “twilight” sleep. The other 3 were aided with forceps, while she was not fully conscious.

She was only semi-conscious for the previous 3 births. Philip was also present for this one, she probably had feelings about being sedated during the other 3 births and made sure she had a more normal experience for her last.

I think many women can sympathize in some way of the controlling nature of others and their birth plans. It was the royal norm to be sedated and have children delivered by forceps in her day. It is not right, she was not properly educated on this stuff, she was Queen, but still deeply influenced by others to know what was right for her.

  3. She’s asking herself if she can just be alone with Andrew since he’s her fave
