Makes sense, especially when it comes to users. Never seemed right to me to lock up people who became addicted to drugs.
Should legalise and sell cannabis while they are at it. Not a fan of it personally but having alcohol be legal and cannabis illegal is absurd.
Drug laws are not devolved. Waste of time as the greens can’t bring this in anyway.
The brits enjoy laughing at us junkie jocks so won’t change it.
Green Party putting their money where their mouth is.
slow down there champ, lets start with cannabis first, then some LSD if that doesn’t go tits up.
Does anyone actually think drugs being illegal solves problems? This would need to be introduced with help for addictions. But it seems like nonsense possession is a high crime.
I am 100% for this, then again I’m worried about how it might affect their popularity. Our population is rather behind-the-times when it comes to legalization.
Then again, Greens seem to be doing great right now! It’s nice to have a credible and principled left wing party on the scene.
The same people who are trying to increase the price of tobacco, alcohol and sugar to eliminate their consumption are all for free and legal heroin for the masses.

Totally makes sense, the Police can prevent violence, abuse and anti social behaviour instead of pursuing a minority who enjoy drugs. Takes the gangs out too!
I agree in theory, but not in practice, places that try this just get thousands of drug addicts flocking there from all over Europe
There we go. Now you’re really playing the game Green.
You’re winning the race for me so far.
And free? Why not? Broadest shoulders will be happy to pay more tax
This is the way …
Remove the criminality of drug use and make it a health / doctors issue ,
Watch the landscape change for the better.
I do agree with a healthcare approach to it, but I find it surprising given the Scottish Greens argued against the Right to Addiction Recovery (Scotland) Bill.
It’s a weird but welcome flip.
Absolutely fucking crackers , like the majority of their beliefs and principles .
You lot on here have lost it if you think that this is a good ideaÂ

It’s a bold strategy cotton, let’s see if it pays off…
For anyone who’d like to read it directly from the source instead of through a newspaper’s telling:

Well that’s an awful headline.
