  1. >The group led by lawyers Omer Shatz and Juan Branco filed a 700-page legal brief on Thursday.

In April 2021, a 20-year-old woman accused Branco of raping her after having given her the drug lamaline.[^([b])](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Juan_Branco#cite_note-17) Branco said the sex was consensual.[^([16])](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Juan_Branco#cite_note-18) Branco was then investigated by the Paris Bar for having published confidential details of the case on [X](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Twitter). In October 2024, he was banned from practising for three years, of which 2 years 3 months were suspended. Branco appealed the ban, allowing him to practise pending a further hearing.[](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Juan_Branco#cite_note-19)
