LEXINGTON, Ky. — Central Bank has named Gene Haynes its fraud investigator supervisor and officer.

With extensive experience in law enforcement and financial crime investigation, Haynes plays a pivotal role in enhancing the bank’s fraud prevention strategies. He is a key player in identifying and mitigating risks and customer scams. His experience as a police officer and detective in the Financial Crimes Unit for the Lexington Police Department, and as the director of enforcement at the Kentucky Department of Charitable Gaming, has equipped him with the necessary skills to tackle financial crimes effectively.

Haynes graduated from Tates Creek High School and studied criminal justice – asset protection at Eastern Kentucky University.

In addition to his professional roles, Haynes is actively involved in several civic and professional organizations. His leadership as the chairperson of the Financial Institution Security Officers Association and as the vice president and treasurer of the Kentucky Organized Retail Crime Association, demonstrates his commitment to collaborating with others to enhance security measures.
