A group of 37 migrants has been rescued near the island of Gavdos and taken to the port of Iraklio, Crete, for first aid and identification.
The boat carrying them was spotted half a nautical mile south of Gavdos, Crete.
The migrants are expected to be transferred to a facility on the mainland after the identification process.
