RXR, the New York-based real estate investment manager and developer, has unveiled Level Ten, a striking new event and amenity floor within the iconic Starrett-Lehigh Building in West Chelsea. Spanning an impressive 50,000 square feet, Level Ten is set to become one of Manhattan’s most versatile and forward-thinking destinations for meetings, conferences, and creative productions.
Level Ten has been meticulously designed to meet the evolving needs of both corporate and creative communities. The venue offers a curated mix of spaces, including a dedicated conference wing, professional-grade recording studios, and a signature event space known as The Landmark. These facilities are complemented by a full-service hospitality programme, including turnkey AV support and premium catering provided by the acclaimed hospitality group Crew.
At the heart of the offering is The Yacht Club, a 23,000-square-foot rooftop restaurant and terrace that has already earned accolades, including being named “Restaurant of the Summer” by the New York Post. With panoramic views of the Hudson River, The Yacht Club provides a refined indoor-outdoor dining experience, ideal for receptions, private dining, and post-event celebrations. The Lido Deck, a two-storey terrace with cabana seating and a dedicated lawn, can accommodate up to 400 guests, making it a standout feature for large-scale gatherings.
Designed in collaboration with STUDIOS Architecture, Level Ten’s interiors reflect RXR’s commitment to creativity, community, and quality. The spaces are flooded with natural light, thanks to their positioning along the building’s window line, and feature high-touch finishes, commissioned artworks, and state-of-the-art AV and recording equipment. A dedicated hospitality team ensures that every guest experience is seamless and elevated.
The venue also introduces a new public entrance on 12th Avenue, allowing direct access to The Yacht Club while preserving exclusive access for building tenants. This addition enhances the building’s already vibrant ground-floor experience, which includes the Olly Olly Market and a series of award-winning art exhibitions featuring works by Jean-Michel Basquiat, Mr. Brainwash, and Johnny Depp.
Level Ten’s conferencing facilities are designed to accommodate a wide range of formats and group sizes. The Governors Room, a signature boardroom, seats up to 22 guests and features a custom marble table, integrated web conferencing technology, and an impressive LED display. Additional rooms such as the Chelsea and Manhattan offer flexible layouts for up to 30 guests, while the Liberty and Roosevelt rooms provide intimate settings for smaller breakout sessions or creative discussions.
The Studios at Level Ten are production-ready, soundproof suites equipped with professional microphones, cameras, and acoustic treatments, ideal for podcasting, content creation, and live broadcasting. For larger productions, the annex venues offer raw, flexible spaces ranging from 40,000 to 70,000 square feet, capable of hosting up to 1,200 guests. These have already been used for high-profile events such as Shoppe Object, NADA, and the Affordable Art Fair.
RXR’s executive vice president and managing director for New York City, William Elder, described Level Ten as a reflection of RXR’s ongoing commitment to futureproofing its portfolio and fostering collaboration. “The feedback from our tenants has been incredible,” he said. “They’re embracing the space wholeheartedly, and we’re excited to welcome both tenants and external guests to this new chapter in the Starrett-Lehigh story.”
The Starrett-Lehigh Building itself is a landmark in Manhattan, occupying a full city block and housing some of the world’s leading names in fashion, media, architecture, and design. Since acquiring the building in 2011, RXR has invested significantly in its redevelopment, including modernising infrastructure, replacing over 5,000 ribbon-style windows, and introducing new retail and wellness amenities such as the 601 Athletic Club.
