Hard to believe people can still be this obstinate and denialist. Trying to no-platform a rival party in 2025. Unreal.
This just gives them more ammunition to play the victim than letting them take part.
“They’re too divisive”
“The YES Society” (because the Independence debate isn’t divisive at all amirite???)
Debate them, make a show of them, counteract their policy arguments. No-platforming Reform plays right into the hands of their supporters and only makes them stronger FFS.
Wouldn’t piss on Reform but what an honour to be rejected by the wankiest of wanks.
Cancel culture doesn’t exist.
Just keep repeating it.
on a very basic level, freedom of speech also implies freedom to reject and boycott. you can’t force anyone to invite a political party to an event.
Can’t beat the ideas so they run away, typical left playbook. However it is a very good result for Reform as the more the clueless out of touch left run and try to de platform the more Reform win.
If you invite the SNP you have to invite reform given reform are less radical than that lot of charlatans.
Kinds frustrated with the comments because as far as I’M AWARE!, both stances don’t have any backing.
Ye’ll find a great hater of bigots in me but it frustrates me that there doesn’t seem to be any consensus on whether debating bigots and showing them up or just telling them to fuck off is better.
Like I get the debate angle but ye’ve got the argument it legitimises them. Then on the other, their hate can’t be spread/shared but does allow for victim mentality & the “Why won’t they debate them?”
I remember similarly happened with that waste of oxygen, Andrew Tate was banned from twitter.
Sure I’m glad when this happens but that’s my bias but if there was evidence that actually, hold on, let them remain & debate them (no matter how bad faith they are) I’d change my tune.
Hell my hope is the debate stuff as ye show evidence proving them wrong & explaining underlining reasons, but maybe that’s putting too much faith in my fellow humans and my own experience. (See Trump, Covid for counter etc)
Stable doors and bolted horses.
The United Kingdom WILL be a fascist country after the next election.
Like Brexit, It’ll be overwhelmingly voted for by the poor, the very poor and the very wealthy. Like Brexit it’ll work wonderfully for one of those groups. The damage that is going to be done that will take generations to fix. Find out what it means for you personally and make plans for how you’re going to manage under these circumstances or, make plans to leave the country.
“We will never agree on everything. Politics is all about a healthy contestation of ideas on how we best improve our world. But what we can all agree on is that politics should never make anyone feel targeted or unwelcome.”
LMFAO they say this as they target reform and make them unwelcome, these purple haired commie fucks have a strong streak of fascism in them
Maybe stop employing sketchy teachers that can’t understand basic biology that teach kids that 2 men can make a baby? Or how having perverts reading nonsense books about “how to identify if you’re trans” or “my two dads”
It takes a sperm and an egg to make a fetus. Women cannot produce sperm and men cannot produce eggs.
It will be interesting what happens in Scotland when Nigel Farage wins in the UK. I have a slight suspicious scottish voters won’t like Nigel very much. I think he is much more problematic than Boris Johnson was.
These people will be crying when Farage is PM
Yea, that ought to put a stop to them.
ITT: people who should have been banned months ago for being bigoted on literally every topic unsurprisingly batting for Reform and crying about “the tolerant left”.
Not a fan of Reform but these (mostly) left-leaning student groups show little grit by refusing to take on right-wing populist contemporaries in their midst.

Yeah that’ll stop em…
I hate Reform UK with a passion but even the BNP got invited to Durham 15 years ago, by none other than Wes Streeting
