European Commissioner for Sustainable Transport and Tourism Apostolos Tzitzikostas visited the American Farm School in Thessaloniki, northern Greece, on Friday.
Tzitzikostas said he was impressed with the school’s operation over the past 121 years. He also noted that the school is founded on environmental education and expressed the European Union’s support for it through programs aimed at the technological upgrading of both education and land cultivation.
“We will continue to support this very important effort in the coming years, using European resources and programs,” he added.
