Russia tried a large armored assault against Ukraine after a long pause in this strategy. Using 2 companies and 26 vehicles they advanced then were pounded back with drones. They end up losing a lot of people and equipment before fleeing.

2. From 2022 to now, it really is something that Ukraine has attritted the Russian army to such an extent, that a ‘massive’ attack can now be characterized as such when it’s really just a reinforced mechanized company with an attached tank platoon (less 1 tank).

Someone please correct me if I’m wrong, but I did read somewhere that the reason that Russia stopped doing these massive raids was because, although a small percentage of the column would eventually make it to the ending area, the loss of equipment just didn’t make sense, because, although sending in smaller under armoured groups was a lot slower and more costly from a personnel standpoint, they tactically achieved the same result… Eventually. Cause if that’s true, it would give more credibility to the articles coming out saying that the Russian economy is fucked. I could totally see someone in the Kremlin, forcing commanders to make as much gain as quickly as possible, knowing full well that they just want to get as much land as possible before a ceasefire and then consolidate whatever the fuck they have left.

7. Repeating the same mistakes of WW1. Blow the whistles and send the men over the top, surely it will work this time.

8. Didn’t they try this twice last week near Pokrovsk and got slaughtered in the attempt?
