Greece’s Coast Guard said it rescued 42 migrants aboard a boat 15 nautical miles south of Gavdos island on Tuesday.
The operation involved a Frontex ship and two passing vessels, which assisted the Coast Guard’s efforts. The migrants were safely transferred to the port of Gavdos.
The migrants are expected to receive necessary care and support from the competent authorities.
