KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) – Andrew Worrall, a former director at Oak Ridge National Laboratory, has been charged with child sex crimes, according to federal court documents obtained by WVLT. Court documents said he messaged with minors and even gave a 17-year-old girl instructions on how to send him explicit videos.
The investigation into Worrall, who is 54, is outlined in a criminal complaint filed in federal court on Oct. 3 by a special agent with the Department of Energy. Although a spokesperson for ORNL has confirmed Worrall no longer works at the labs, the complaint said he was working there at the time of the investigation, and his LinkedIn account claims he was a nuclear energy programs director.
The complaint also said the investigation began when an 18-year-old girl sent screenshots of Snapchat and Telegram conversations between herself and Worrall to an ORNL employee complaints email. During the conversation, the complaint said, the girl lied to Worrall and said she was 16, not 18.
Those screenshots included comments from Worrall like “I love that you are [16 years old],” “do you want me to be a gentle daddy or a dominating daddy?” and “I like to take control. Lead. Dominate totally.”
That girl also gave the investigators Worrall’s Snapchat username — anon_me2025 — which helped them bust him for talking to other girls who told him they were minors, or actually were, the complaint said.
Excerpts from those conversions include a voice memo from Worrall to a girl who said she was 17 saying “good girl, you want to show daddy your beautiful little titties.”
According to the complaint, records of the conversation show that the victim sent Worrall explicit videos of herself. Records from another of Worrall’s conversations show that he also sent instructions to another user — again 17 years old — for sending him an explicit video:
Here’s a script for the bathroom: camera on sink pointing towards bath/shower. You undress out of tennis clothes as though just got home. Undress in front of camera. Look at yourself in mirror. Admire your body. Start shower. Bend over picking things up so can see your a–. Get in shower. Just wash your body. As you rub tits, p—-, a–, touch each part more erotically as though getting turned on. If the shower head comes off, use it on your clit with foot up so can see your p—- and jet on your clit. If you have a toy, f— yourself in shower or use shower gel bottle.
According to the complaint, Worrall sent the instructions because the girl had said she would “give him stuff for free if he helps her figure out what to do, what to film and how.”
Beyond all those conversation excerpts, the complaint also said Worrall had paid for more explicit videos.
Worrall was charged with attempted coercion and enticement, sex trafficking of a child and exploitation of a child for the purpose of production.
