  1. Cops have no legal requirement to tell you the truth while arresting you in the US. They will tell you whatever you want to hear to keep you stable and in control while arresting you.

“Don’t worry grandpa, running someone over is no big deal, thumbs up, yes sir, just get in the back of the car…”

  2. “I don’t remember it happening, it’s not like it was on purpose…” this is like the most textbook example of someone lying. If you were accused of something you didn’t remember or didn’t do the first normal response would be (it wasn’t me) or (It must be someone else) not (I don’t remember) but the deflective act of downplaying thereafter by segueing into (it’s not like it’s was on purpose) really hammers in the fact they’re guilty.

  3. >I don’t even remember it happening
It wasn’t anything like on purpose
I didn’t even see those people

At the very least his license should be revoked. Someone that can’t remember hitting someone and did not see a group of protestors while driving, should not be driving. But, this is America and unless they drove home with the body of a state trooper in the windshield, nothing will happen to his license.

  4. gotta love Reddit accounts run by news agencies that post their own articles without reading the sub rules about US content restrictions <3

    article’s from rawstory dot com

  5. Why would you believe anything this motherfucker is saying? He’s saying he didn’t see anyone, he didn’t notice hitting someone, he’s unaware of anything happening and the cops supposedly cheered him on after he did what he doesn’t remember doing.

  6. “It was definitely on purpose,” said demonstrator Lorraine Wilburn, who did not witness the crash.

These people sound stupid as fuck. Get off the street where the cars belong.
