THE CREATION OF THESE ENTERTAINMENT ZONES ALLOWS PEOPLE TO CONSUME ALCOHOL ON PUBLIC STREETS, SIDEWALKS, AND RIGHT OF WAYS DURING SPECIAL EVENTS LIKE THE RAINBOW FESTIVAL OR TERRA MADRE. AMERICAS. Following up on the success of the Terra Madre Americas food and drink festival which allowed attendees to consume alcohol inside and outside the event in a specially-created entertainment zone, Sacramento city leaders are scheduled to vote on a proposal to expand the city’s entertainment zones.The zones allow licensed bars and restaurants to serve alcoholic drinks to those who can consume those drinks outdoors in common spaces like plazas, sidewalks, and streets during certain hours.”Entertainment zones provide several benefits.
