Reform has seven-point lead in poll for Wales-wide Senedd election (Beaufort Research poll on Senedd voting intention, Reform 30%, Labour 23%, Plaid Cymru 22%, Conservative 11%, Green 9%, Liberal Democrat 4%, and other parties 1%.)

  1. And people wonder why Labour won’t drop out. The establishment is still going strong. If you know a lifelong Labour voter that still decides to vote labour, let them know how much of a shill they are.

  2. It’s depressing seeing an English nationalist party do so well in Wales

  3. Plaid on 25 MS and Labour on 24, looks like we could be in Irish-style rotating First Minister territory.

  4. Still a comfortable majority for progressive parties in the Senedd which is the good news.

My worry is thats what Reform actually want. They can be the biggest party in the Senedd and use that platform to moan about how that means they ‘won’ the election but are being locked out by wokeness/immigration/speed cameras/tofu eater/whatever they’re moaning about on any given week

All the while not having to bother with the complexities that come with running a country.

  5. I’m curious about Beaufort’s methodology as they always seem to pump the Labour vote more.

But interesting numbers nonetheless. But stand out for me there is actually the Greens.

Also 19% of Welsh speakers planning to vote Reform. That will sting some on this sub.

  6. Stating the obvious: this is unsurprising given the summer’s media coverage of boat crossings. the long shadow of the 20mph speed limits and Westminster Labour’s lax performance.

It’s hard to see Reform winning a majority in six months’ time, thankfully but a Reform FM could be possible.

  7. The left has had it their way and their way only for far too long. Change is needed and it’s coming

  8. How can they be doing so well when they dont even have any policies or a leader for Wales yet?

  9. You do wonder what it would take for some people to step away from Labour.

  10. This is the equivalent of not getting bread with your soup and deciding a shit sandwich is more enjoyable

  11. Interesting. That seems a fair bit off where Labour have been in recent polling. But then i’m fairly sure this company always has Labour higher than others. Look forward to friday morning to see how close all the companies are.

  12. I really don’t get why more people aren’t voting Green. Polanski has got his head screwed on.

  13. The tragedy is that labour + plaid demolishes the fear mongered and deluded Deform voters.
But they wont unify fornthebgreater good and devisive, destructive, hopeless politics will win.

This is how darkness keeps winning.

  14. This poll suspiciously seems timed to dent any tactical voting in Caerphilly. Anyway, we’ll have an accurate state of play on Friday, but this poll is dubious.

500 people across all of Wales. (The poll in Caerphilly recently had the same number in just one constituency). Plus super restrictive filters that weed out anyone unless they say they’re definite to vote and don’t knows weeded out too.

Loads of Labour 2021 voters are don’t knows at the moment, and likely will move to Plaid Cymru, though a significant proportion will also shift to Reform. This poll is Labour’s absolute best case scenario, and the worst case scenario is far far below.

  15. Honestly, if Reform win, let’s see how they run Wales. And that’ll be their record for 2029 whether they do a good job or not.

  16. Im a uk/us citizen and after suffering through the last US election this welsh one is depressing. Reform?! Really?!

  17. 58% left wing vs 41% right wing is what I’m seeing…
