Of course Trump’s attacks on speedboats in the Caribbean are not justified. Trump is no king, he needs authorization from Congress to declare war. Congress has not given that authorization, and Trump has provided no evidence that these are truly “terrorists” posing an imminent threat to the US. The public has no idea who these people really are. Even if it were true that they are drug smugglers, why can’t the military intercept and arrest them, instead of blowing them to smithereens? Also, most fentanyl entering the US comes from China via Mexico, NOT Venezuela or Colombia. These attacks are simply war crimes, unjustified, illegal extrajudicial killings of foreign noncombatants. Wasn’t Trump supposed to be “the peace president”? Instead he is waging an illegal, undeclared war.
