New polling of a hypothetical Republican race for President shows familiar challenges for two Florida men, who are in distant second and third place, respectively.

Gov. Ron DeSantis and Secretary of State Marco Rubio have 10% and 6% respectively, in the Echelon Insights October “verified voter omnibus,” putting them far behind Vice President JD Vance’s 46%.

DeSantis is all alone in second place, while Rubio is tied with former United Nations Ambassador Nikki Haley. Health and Human Services Secretary Robert Kennedy, Jr. has 5% support.

All other names are at or below 3%.

The poll was conducted online between Oct. 16 and Oct. 20.

Though DeSantis is ahead of Rubio here, other polling has shown the Secretary of State tied with DeSantis. In all cases, they are far behind Vance.

Meanwhile, people betting money on the election show indications they see the dynamic differently.

On Polymarket, Rubio is seen as the second most likely winner, with a 7% chance.

While that’s far behind Vance’s 54%, it’s ahead of DeSantis’ 3% chance.

To put that number in perspective, both President Donald Trump and political commentator Tucker Carlson are seen as more likely GOP nominees than DeSantis.

On Kalshi, Rubio is seen as having a 7% chance of winning with DeSantis at 3%.

However, it’s Tulsi Gabbard ahead of the Governor there.

Meanwhile, Kalshi investors see Rubio as the most likely vice presidential nominee, with an 18% chance of being number two on the ticket.

Rep. Byron Donalds is given a 5% chance of being second on the ticket, while DeSantis’ chances are below 1%.
