So I saw this on my night walk, and with the recent Meteo warning about Level 3 winds, I got curious whether or not this thing wouldn't just tip over? The only thing keeping it in place seems to be a couple of wooden slabs around it to keep it from rolling away. I'm sure there's some kind of explanation such as weight or an anchoring I couldn't see… if anyone knows, I'd love to learn 🙂

  1. Dont worry. This thing is super heavy and the point of gravity seems low enough.

I would worry more about sudden “disappearance” depending on the current copper price…

  2. You can try to pick it up, those things are rather heavy, well the cable on it is.
But hey update us if it does move in any way.

  3. Me want to see it roll down street and flatten cars hehe

  4. I’m frequently shocked at safety standards here on construction sites which are public adjacent. Five guys died behind my apartment building last year when scaffolding / lift failed.

I have multiple personal stories of witnessing industrial accidents in Switzerland in my 20 years here that could have been prevented by better regulation. But that would be an expense to the employers.
