On Friday, the weather in Latvia will become warmer, with temperatures reaching up to +15 degrees Celsius in some places, according to forecasts.
Light rain is expected overnight, mainly in the eastern part of the country. There will be a slow to moderate south-easterly wind.
The minimum air temperature will be 5-10 degrees.
In the first half of the day, the sky will clear up at times and the sun will shine, but in the afternoon it will cloud over again, with rain expected in many places. A slow to moderate southeasterly wind will continue.
The maximum air temperature will reach +10 to +15 degrees. The warmest weather, around +15 C, is expected in southern Kurzeme, Zemgale, and the Rīga area.
In Rīga, the night and first half of the day will be dry. The sun will shine at times in the morning, but light rain is expected again in the afternoon. Slow to moderate southeasterly wind. The minimum air temperature at night will be around 8 degrees, and the maximum during the day will be +14 C to15 C.
The national heat record for 24 October will most likely remain unbroken, as in 2006, the air temperature in Rēzekne was 16.6 degrees on this date, and the maximum temperature record for October 24 in Rīga will not be broken either, as in 1943, the capital city recorded 16.5 degrees.
