    -healthy because there’s no accumulation of sweat

    -the little sweat is mopped up by the socks

    -fashionable (apparently it’s a rising trend with young people to wear socks and sandals as a fashion statement…)

  13. I wear this around the house. It is very comfortable. I don’t go out in socks and sliders though.

  16. Looks awful, but goddamit sandals and socks is comfy. However, I shun plastic Adidas slides in favour of Birkenstocks.

  24. I think every German has at least one *SSJ2 [Weird Uncle] Heinz-Peter* in their family who rocks these kicks, and every single one of us is asking themselves the same question.

  26. Actually I’ve been wanting to ask how acceptable this is: In summer, I wear Birkenstocks barefoot during the day. In the evening, I go boxing, where I wear socks (often white) and boxing shoes. When I am done with boxing, I leave the socks on, because I do not want to make my sandals all sweaty. So, I am walking home for approximately 9,5-13 minutes (depending on the intensity of the session) wearing Socks and ‘Stocks. Please advice.

  40. Well, you have to decide if you want us in Hugo Boss attire or this. Our fashion sense comes with the humor.

  42. I’m with Hans on this. Feet look like deformed hands and should be covered at all times.
