    Imagine your child’s teacher went and joined the IDF for baby sniping holiday, then comes back to UK expecting to calmly go back to teaching in primary school the next day…

  3. Given that people in the UK have been arrested for holding up posters supporting Palestine Action I reckon these private prosecutions for actively fighting for a foreign army is fair enough.

  6. Hey I’m all for prosecuting war criminals – as long as this isn’t a blanket judgement and cases are looked at individually and fairly, I say let justice be done

  7. Good, it should be illegal to join a foreign army in the first place, that’s basically a treason to your own country, especially since the IDF have killed British citizens in Gaza

    By the way everyone, if they succeed it means people who went to fight for Ukraine against Russia can also get sued. Just saying….

He also noted that section 4 of the act does not extend to “enlistment in a foreign government’s forces which are engaged in a civil war or combating terrorism or internal uprisings.”

  10. What did I do? I spent half of my time in the IDF military training and the other half as an Arabic translator, am I a war criminal?
