Very few people have done the Northwest Passage single-handed. uh not only because it’s challenging, it’s very technically challenging, but also because it was impossible to do it some years ago. The sea ice uh would be uh frozen during the whole winter time and during the summer time as well. And I was very upset to be able to do it um with uh much less ice than I was expecting to find. I only found ice on 9% of the way, which is very little. This is part uh of a trend that will be very difficult to reverse if we don’t act um with bold decisions. If we don’t make uh courageous choices in this decade
