CAMDEN, S.C. (WIS) – The town of Camden is preparing for what they’re calling “A Revolutionary November.”
A month-long series of events will commemorate the city’s rich ties to the Revolutionary War.
Next month, the city and local organizations will bring history to life during the annual Revolutionary War Days. Camden is home to one of the most significant Revolutionary War sites in South Carolina and was the location of several major battles, including the Battle of Camden.
The upcoming events will feature reenactments, live demonstrations, and family activities. Stacey Ferguson, deputy director of the Historic Camden Foundation, said it’s a chance to connect people with the past as the nation approaches its 250th birthday.
“All the organizations that are putting on events at the beginning of November are very passionate about making people feel connected to the history, and this is just another way for people to get in touch with our nation’s founding, coming up on our 250th birthday,” Ferguson said.
The events will be happening every weekend in November.
