  5. That tall “radar-looking” thing on the police van is actually a telescopic camera or antenna mast, not radar.

    It’s used to raise cameras or comms gear so police can get a better view of a scene – like for CCTV, number plate checks, or live video feeds etc.

    The coiled cable just powers and connects it back to the van. Basically, it’s a pop-up camera pole for surveillance or communication, not a radar.
