Academics, state officials, and international partners gathered in Tirana today. They discussed how investing in people can boost Albania’s growth and its path to the European Union.
The high-level conference, co-organized by the EU, UN, and World Bank, emphasized the key role of universities in shaping future skills. It also highlighted the link between education and the labor market.
Silvio Gonzato, EU Ambassador to Albania, said investing in people is not a cost. He added that it brings major benefits to societies and economies.
He stressed that human capital development is central to Albania’s EU integration. Gonzato said the EU will continue supporting Albania, strengthening vulnerable communities, and building a future based on shared values and opportunities.
