Lithuania has closed traffic through two checkpoints on the border with Belarus, said the State Customs Committee (SCC) of Belarus, APA reports, citing IZVESTIYA.

“Lithuania has closed traffic this night: from 3.00 the Shalchininkai checkpoint (Benyakoni on the Belarusian side) and from 5.00 through the Myadininkai checkpoint (Kamenny Log),” the ministry said in a statement.

According to the Belarusian customs, more than 1,500 trucks are currently registered in the electronic queue for departure through these checkpoints. Only two of the six existing checkpoints remain open on the border between the two countries. The SCC noted that they continue to monitor the situation and will inform about the changes.
