In the Odessa region near the Moldovan border, a car overturned, and a small group of reservists managed to flee from border guards; six passengers sustained injuries of varying severity.

According to the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine and information provided by Ukrinform, the incident occurred in Rozdilnyansky District near the border. Border guards recorded a vehicle moving in the direction of Moldova.

Upon seeing the border protection services, the driver sharply accelerated and, losing control, overturned into a ditch.

In the cabin, besides the driver, there were six people; the injured sustained injuries of varying severity. They were promptly given first aid, and an ambulance and police were called.

Preliminarily, investigators determined that the men were trying to reach neighboring Moldova and sought help from the administrator of one of Telegram channels. Not having guarantees of a successful crossing, they paid a deposit of more than $25,000 to a crypto wallet.

An administrative offense under Article 204-1 of the Code of Ukraine on Administrative Offenses was recorded in connection with the interception; protocols were drawn up, and the cases were forwarded to court.

According to Ukrinform, border guards and rescuers previously saved two men who became lost in the mountains during the search for the border with Romania.

Investigators and relevant authorities continue to clarify the circumstances of the incident, verify information about the participants, and conduct examinations regarding the vehicle’s rollover. Law enforcement is also working to establish the role of each of the defendants in this case.
