Yeah, this data is not very beautifully presented, missing later ages, missing axis
This is ugly data. The smooth lines make it look continuous when it’s not, there are only 5 discrete data points per graph.
This is why you use a bar, not a line graph. Looks like Facebook early on and you can’t pinpoint the actual answer for each age group.
I find it hard to believe that 70% of men *regularly* use Instagram. Or that 80% of 30-year-olds *regularly* use Facebook. “Have an account”, maybe.
so they’re all down except for Facebook?
i think i’m too much of a moron to get this graph
No wonder that the difference is higher in the nazi network.
Line graphs for categorical variables is… a choice
The Tiktok one is so crazy. I’m 20 and a woman and my classmates genuinely get confused when I say I don’t use it 😭
No one over age 40 uses the internet. I’ve got two years left!!!
This data is ugly as shit
I could be wrong, but I suspect the twitter gender gap is due to how right wing twitter is now, but it’s interesting that that the narrowest gap is with 16 – 20 year olds. Though I guess it does rise with women as the age goes up, just interesting that the gap grows.
This app’s a sausage-fest boys
you know, I don’t think a line graph is the best idea for this kind of data
You seem to have left github out…
Once again, Tumblr demonstrates that its not a social media site.
Who the hell is using FACEBOOK in 2025??
As a 41m I take offense to this chart.
At first I was like “Wtf is Threads and Bluesky”… and then I realized I wasn’t even included in the demographic.
Touche.
This should really be a bar chart. Line implies a trend over time, and this doesn’t seem to be providing a change in trend over decades.
Other than that nitpick, thanks for sharing, and it’s interesting to see the differences between generations.

And woman say men aren’t consistent! (On reddit)
There are no people over 40.
Had to laugh at the Bluesky graph. XD
