  1. Government shutdown, employees aren’t getting paid, but Trump has plenty of money to build a tacky ballroom.

  2. He’ll just sue the FBI specifically for 200 million and Cashapp will hand it right over with bulging eyes.

  3. The old, worth the fine and cost of doing business, is the new, naked corruption.

  4. Of course. The cheap labor is being deported..

  5. Well Trump is famous for not paying his contractors. Refuse to pay, they sue you, they settle for 50%-75% of what you owe them to avoid legal fees and a long court case.

  6. And trump will most likely have cover charges going straight to his pockets

  7. Despite trying to stiff contractors at every turns.

  8. I’m pretty sure “ballroom” is code for the new Trump House. He started griping the day he moved in 2016. The showers! the toilets! The lack of gold plated accents.

  9. Can’t go over budget if you continuously use a different budget number like it was ALWAYS the budget number you were using.

  10. When Truman completely gutted the entire White House to be rebuilt from inside out it only cost the equivalent of $69 million. What the fuck is Trump building?

  11. Hot hot take – I don’t think it will be finished by 2028.

  12. Don’t worry y’all Teump said he’s paying for it along with donors. We can ALWAYS count on his word. /s

  13. We build multi-story high tech lab buildings at universities for 100m.

300m can get 7-9 stories with multiple clean room labs and high cost spaces.

He’s building a bunker or secret hideaway under this or just pocketing 250m

  14. I think he is going to pull a “The Producers”.

He says it needs $300MM to build this thing. He will raise $800MM. He will actually pay $50MM, and keep the difference.

Everyone doing work and providing supplies will do so as a favor to the administration.

He raised millions for his inauguration, and spent almost none of it.

  15. Mark my words, this will be the largest money laundering operation in history. The cost will be over 1 billion.
