So the real time was 08:32. But my other half has changed all the clocks in the house this morning by 30 minutes to… “help us with the transition back to Greenwich Mean Time tomorrow. ”

  6. What a fool, I’ve been moving my clock one minute per day for the last 59 days. Everyone knows that’s how it’s really done

  8. But the clocks go back… you gain an hour, not lose an hour.

    I also thought that GMT was British summertime and that in the winter we have daylight savings time (move the clocks back one hour so it’s brighter of a morning)

  13. Haven’t changed the clocks in long while since most are automagic now

  15. But…this is one of the three things we’re all reliably taught at school: Never Eat Shredded Wheat, i before e except after c and a bunch of other times, and spring forward fall BACK! travesty

  23. My mum did something similar, she’d have the clocks in the house running five minutes ahead. Claimed it made you less likely to be late.

  25. I will merely remark that unless you have external plans on Sunday (eg work shift, sports) you can choose to have your extra hour on Monday morning instead.

    Nights are bad enough but then you see the clock at 1:59 and the seconds rapidly approaching 60.. and the clock changes to 1:00 instead of 2:00

    Also, everyone else seems to be assuming the ‘other half’ is the wife. Could just as easily be a man.
