Belgrade has finished purging the “splavs” i.e. floating river clubs from the downtown section of the Sava

1. Good. Noone is having fun anymore in Belgrade. Now let’s see how we ban happiness of any kind

3. Where they moved elsewhere? Those were unique and maybe the bedt nightlife in Beograd…

9. This sucks so much, going to Splavs with locals was the best thing when I was visiting Belgrade 🙁

10. I don’t know how to feel about that. All these could be pubs, stores, cafes etc. Permits would revitalize a street I think would make it an attraction point.

11. But it’s just a giant slab at the river now! Will they at least decorate it somehow?

14. We had these everywhere along the Dnieper in Kyiv. They were mostly purged too about 10-15 years ago

20. Unfortunately, it is not a nice story as they are planning to put there boat hotels as part of Expo. Whoever gave this Expo organization to Serbia was very smart to destroy it…

25. Skimming the sub, I initially read the headline as “Belgrade has finished purging the slavs” and was like WTF!?
