Nördlinger Ries crater in the south really clear in this visualisation
This is beautiful to me!
I wish there was a bit more separation between the brightness of the background and the yellow of the visual, especially toward the top.
But man, this makes me want to put my face closer to see all the details.
Where is the *black* forest?
Depending where you are from in the US the entire country is a veritable metropolis. I grew up in the Bronx after emigrating from Rheinland Pfalz. After seeing the rest of the US I can’t believe how industrialized Germany is compared to the US.
I just hate reddit for not being able to open an image and zoom in anymore. But then again… every other provider is making this more and more harder too.
No wonder there are hardly any animals left. Even the bugs are dying out the world over.

Love the subtle hillshade and shadow behind. QGIS > ArcGIS all day!
What does heath count as? It is neither trees nor crops nor flooded or built.
What is “rangeland”? I’m guessing some kind of animal pasture? As a British English speaker I’ve never encountered that word before.
