And media markt is not the cheapest still. You can get another 5$ cheaper with other smaller retailers.

And mind you – it's the same story with most new releases. This is just an example because its a new release

  1. I buy all my PS games in the american PSN store. Some games are literally 100 PLN cheaper paying in USD

  2. Isn’t this normal? It was always like that with digital pricing. Also, some companies, like Sony, keep their games’ physical pricing high too – Ghost of Yotei was in the range of 320-340pln for disc preorders, and fell to around 280 now. AC Shadows could be bought for ~280 day 1, but Borderlands 4 was available in something like week 2 for ~220. It’s still virtually impossible to get Astrobot for < 200 physically. Prices vary a lot.

~~And your example is closer to a 2/3rds of the price than to half.~~

  4. That’s why I have the majority of my collection in physical format. PSN prices are often even higher than Steam’s prices (for the same games).

  5. Companies are setting these prices because gaming addicts will pay it. Just stop buying overpriced games

  6. I remember when the digital stores where just starting and many people said: we need to support them, they are much better than physical copies, because you can cut down the cost of creating the physical copy, transporting them and having a store as a middle man!

Now look at this shit. It’s way more expensive, the price can go down only occasionally during sales and you don’t even own the copy, you only pay for the license which can be revoked if the license giver decides so.

  8. I didn’t even know they released a physical edition for this.

But yeah, game prices over here can be ridiculous sometimes.

  9. Physical copy of Oblivion Remaster MSRP is 40$ worldwide, so normal store actually translated price properlly. On digital storefronts Bethesda is using some retarded USD=5PLN exchange and PS players are fucked because of this combined with Sony digital monopoly, on PC you can just buy it in keyshop for 50% of the price or less.
